The Evolution™ Keyboard system
Using a standard computer keyboard can force wrists into three awkward positions. These postures can
cause discomfort if used repetitively. The Evolution is fully-adjustable,
programmable, and upgradeable.
Concept:
The Evolution keyboard is supported by the arms of your existing ergonomic
office chair (also available in articulating track mount, and desktop models).
Description:
The Evolution Keyboard is the perfect solution to these problems. By letting the user's body maintain
a relaxed, neutral position, this unique keyboard provides full support to the arms and wrists. The
Evolution keyboard,
like a good ergonomic chair, is fully adjustable to fit your body's proportions in all three planes of motion
for wrist rotation, as well as independent adjustments for forearm length and keyboard height and position.
Features:
Developed by an orthopedic surgeon and an occupational therapist, this keyboard features two independent
sections-left and right hand with a trackpad. This standard QWERTY keyboard is Windows
compatible,
programmable, and has built-in palm rests.
Programmability:
You can fully customize your keyboard without any software. For instance, you
can instantly make your left Spacebar into Backspace, store words or sentences
as macros, adjust the repeat rate from the keyboard. Your custom keyboard
configuration is stored in a memory chip that requires no power or batteries. Unlimited
key remapping, up to 24 macros (each with 56 characters). Works on all operating
systems; no software or drivers required.
Compatibility:
The Evolution plugs and plays with IBM AT/PS2 and its compatibles. The
Evolution fits on a variety of office chairs with height
and width adjustable T-arms. Adhesive cable clamps for cord management are included.
Styles:
- Chair mounted: left and right halves for chair arm mounting.
- Desktop style: left and right halves sit on your desktop.
- Track mounted: mounts on an under-desk articulating keyboard arm.
